Burning DVDs

I doubt it's a DVD-R/+r thing, I tried one DVD-R I burned in my Dell
laptop and it couldn't read it either, also tried it in my roommate's
computer, his DVD drive couldn't read it but his DVD burner (which is
the same as mine) could. Though both laptop can read the FC3 and FC4
DVD-Rs I burned with that same burner and the DVD-Rs came from the same
package. I'll try a DVD-RW to see what it does.
