Safe way to remove old kernels

It appears I have been "collecting" kernels since installing FC4.  I
presently show 4 copies in /lib/modules all of which were installed via
up2date via the YUM repositories.. (Except for the initial FC4 install)
Is there a proper way to remove them? such as yum remove ,etc...
