Can't access DNS names after update (FIXED)

Just wanted to let everyone know that disabling the NetworkManager
service and re-saving the network settings via the gui network system
tool fixed the issue. Probably could have just updated the
/etc/resolv.conf manually but I wanted to make sure everything was
saved correctly and I am lazy! :D Thanks again for all the help.

Thank you for your reply, my /etc/resolv.conf is not populated at all,
only contains the line "; generated by NetworkManager, do not edit!"
so it seems both issues are present at this time. I will take the
necessary steps to resolve this issue and let everyone know if this
resolves the issue.
