corrupt fc4 disks

You don't mention how you downloaded the images. Perhaps you are using ftp in
ASCII mode. That would account for the corruption.

Are the images burned to a CD when you do the image check? Or are you just
doing a sha1sum? What does "ls -l FC4*.rpm" display?
