Lost CD Drive [Solved]

Solved: I finally took the cover off my computer and made sure all the 
connections were tight, restarted and the CD drive was there.  I'm sure 
the connections were tight, but I guess not.  I did get to read a lot 
about cd drives, and the software associated with them, so all was not wasted.
