You missed the backquote (`) at the end of the command.

It's probably more clear to write it as:

# rpm -e $(rpm
-qf /usr/java/jre1.5.0_04/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so)

but I'm a bit old-fashioned :-)
