apprich at elmstreet UDF $ ll /etc/sysconfig/desktop
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 16 16. Jun 06:05 /etc/sysconfig/desktop
apprich at elmstreet UDF $ cat /etc/sysconfig/desktop
DESKTOP="GNOME"

if you change this to KDE you should be good to go :-)
