Install Image to Hard Disk Fails on Install

[Steven Ericsson-Zenith]

IBM Netfinity 5500, RAIDSERVER with the latest firmware, 4 drives, RAID 1, 2 logical volumes. 

Autopartitions LVM across both drives.

I have reconfigured the partitions and drive order etc..
etc.. but have not rid myself of the error

"Failed to transfer install image to hard drive. ..."

Identical machine runs Core 2 fine. This is a clean install of Core 4.

Suggestions?
