Your experiences with S-ATA drives?

SATA _drives_ don't cause any problems. Some SATA _controllers_ 
are troublesome, especially Intel ICH6 (in AHCI mode).

Most important hint: don't use the fake-RAID setup in BIOS, use 
native Linux software RAID instead.
