Re: X server not reponding



You can use telnet to check if a server is listening on a specific port.
Like this:

fvogel host1 $ telnet host2 22
Trying 172.16.96.1...
Connected to ..........
Escape character is '^]'.
SSH-1.99-OpenSSH_3.4p1
