Making Windows "really" Transparent

If you google around, there are guides.  Basically you add this to
xorg.conf:

Section "Extensions"
        Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

And in the kcontrol Window Behavior, there should be a Translucency
option, turn it on.  You might have to restart X.  That should
do it.  You'll want to adjust some windows so they don't go opaque
on you most likely, you can do that by right-clicking on their titlebar
and it's in Advanced I think.  Windows Properties, etc

Your card DOES have to be 3d and be reasonably fast for this, plus
it uses a bit of memory, so I wouldn't do it on a wimpy system.
