System running slow since install of KDE

    Ah!  I didn't know that; the last time I used KDE it was still using
ESD.  I knew with this many technical (and helpful) folks we'd find
other reasons.

    The slow internet, though...does KDE currently have anything to
cache or otherwise improve domain lookup?
