FC3 on HP nx9110

Anyone running FC3 on an HP nx9110. I've been running for a few weeks
now and most things are going well. I usually use an external LCD
monitor running at 1280x1024. I happen to be traveling at the moment and
the resolution I'm getting on the builtin display is terrible. Doesn't
matter what I choose it doesn't change. Trying to use Ctrl+fn+alt++
doesn't do anything. My xorg.conf lists several resolutions. Right now
my hardware is set at LCD Panel 1440x900.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
