Hi Scot ,
Funny how many things I learn "thanks" to my troubles getting
my installation work :) Funny also how helpful / unhelpful can be better
design. Core 1always presented me with all installed kernels to chose
from. Core 3 hides them behind a nice screen - and I just believed,
the new kenel had replaced the older one forever...
After looking a little bit more attentive and trying [any key] I found the
old kernel, booted, and everything worked smooth again :)
If I had known before reinstalling all over again ... But at least I will
remember this adventure for a while :)

Can I just continue to update, install, ...? Will all new software versions
also work with the old kernel? - Probably yes.

Thomas Chung wrote me, that my problem already was reported:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=102979
Probably once is enouth - or should I file it again?
Thanks for your reply - I finally feel like having solved the problem
(or better having somebody else having solved it for me, puh, anyway)
and can relaxe again - all thanks to your and Thomas Help!
Best wishes and thanks again, Die
