You got that right. To think I was an OS/2 superuser (-:
Anyway, I did what you said, and everything went swimmingly, until the
system tried to start anacron, and the earth stood still for half an
hour. I didn't feel like waiting anymore, so I did a hard reset.
Anacron is installed, and running, so I don't know what the problem is.
I'm getting to the point where I think I'll just let it slide. I just
hate when things don't work, and I don't know *why* or *how*. If one
doesn't know how or why, then things can't be fixed or replicated.
Thanks a lot for your help. Maybe I'll just wait for the Fedora 4.0
release to see if it fixes things.
Anyway, it's all probably my fault, as I updated KDE from 3.1 to 3.2
without reading the caveat about themer. That's when the graphical
greeter became FUBAR.
