Actually, disks in servers that work 24/7 may easily last longer than 
disks in desktops that are powered on/off daily.  Spinup places lot of 
stress on disk's mehanical parts.  50k hours if disk is used in desktop 
is excellent.  50k hours for disk used in server should be something to 
expect...
