No AMD64 won't help with this - it is a restriction of the standard
(ISO 9660) and not of the CPU architecture. But I wondered if there
was any possible way to overcome it. The UDF option was recommended in
the thread you are mentioning, and theoretically it should help, as
UDF is much more flexible system. However, it does not, I believe, due
to still poor implementation of it. Well, that is why it is called
mkisofs and not mkudf ;)
