No sound after install FC2 while has sound during installation (Dark Silver)

Dark,

The other thing you can try is to run a mixer tool (I use Kmix) and turn
off Headphone Jack Sense and Line Jack Sense to get the sound back.  I
had to do this when upgrading a few revs back.

Can anyone tell me why these two AC97 switches are enabled by default?
It seems that these expect sense hardware to be there, but this causes
loss of audio output if it isn't.

Mine is Intel 82801DB-ICH4 audio and running the 2.6.10-1.770_FC3
kernel.  I have to fix the settings every time I upgrade.  PITA!
