catdoc, pdftotext and pdfinfo

pdftotext and pdfinfo are likely installed on your fc3 system just as 
they are on my fc2 system.
For information on those programs, go to a terminal command line and 
enter "man pdftotext" and "man pdfinfo"  (without the quotes in each 
case) at the prompt.

If unfamiliar with fc3, go to a desktop window, right click on the 
desktop and select "Open Terminal" from the popup menu.  For additional 
information on pdftotext and pdinfo as well as info on catdoc you might 
try some google searches.
