Using a Microsoft USB Sidewinder Gamepad

Hi All,

    I've tried googling and can't seem to find an answer :(  How do I
use my Game pad?  When I plug it in I get the following in my system
logs

blue kernel: input: USB HID v1.00 Gamepad [Microsoft SideWinder Game
Pad Pro USB version 1.0] on usb-0000:00:02.2-3

I'd like to use it with gxmame and relive my wasted youth :)
