Dual boot fedora and fedora?

No problem. Just be careful to install to separate partitions. You'll
have to be slightly creative with grub: I'd recommend installing to the
root partition of the FC4t1 install (use the "advanced" options button
at that part of Anaconda). In the FC3 /boot/grub/grub.conf, put
something like this:
title Fedora Core 4 test 1
        rootnoverify (hd1,5)
        chainloader +1

Sounds -- oh dear -- as though you might have upgraded FC3 to FC4t1.

You do have good backups, don't you?

I've done this throughout the FC3 test series: I haven't played with
FC4t1 yet.

You have to be subscribed to that list: you don't necessarily have to
have posts delivered. You can change options through the link in the
list signature.
