I think the resposity you got does not contain the video-client!

download & install apt-get
rpm -Uvh http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/fedora/linux/3/apt/apt-0.5.15cnc6-1.1.fc3.fr.i386.rpm
apt-get update (to update package list)
apt-get install synaptic 
run synaptic (gui frontend for apt-get) to install videolan
