FC3 ipw2100 cannot activate wireless device (was Re: FC3 Sorry, have sound problems (sound card "detected" but no sound))

Ok got onto a WEP network by changing the wireless
router to use a passphrase.  For some reason
NetworkManager would not let me use a 26 character
string for 'ASCII key'
