Problem installing fedora core3 x86-64

It seems more people have had this problem with the FC3 x86-64 distro.
I had the same problem, screen flickering and hardly readable. But once
you get past the initial media check everything seemed clear. Then once
again, after the post install the screen seemed to lock up. To solve
that problem: I first selected generic display (lcd or CTR) which ever
if yours is not present. Second, after the post install and you machine
reboots, edit grub to init 3 (multi user no X), run up2date. 
This will update past those initial X window bugs and your system should
run great after that.

You might be able to setup the monitor through the generic
classifications from the LCD choices. You need to know the resolution of
your monitor to select a choice.

Regarding the monitor not being identified automatically, it might be
good to file a bugreport to get this monitor type added. I believe you
submit some information file from the windows driver and the monitor
might be added to the list and recognized in the future when the
information is added in later releases.
