Dual Boot Fedora Core/Windows XP Using a disk enclosure/drawer

After a bad experience with grub, I swore that I would never dual boot
with Windows again (I nearly lost all of my data) and would only try
Fedora Core if I had a second machine to try it out on.

Since then, I have discovered a simple method to boot both systems on
the same machine without using any bootloader.

If this method has been discussed previously on this list, I
apologize. A search via Google did not show any discussion of this
method.

Step 1: Install a disk drawer/enclosure in an available 5 1/4 bay.

Step 2: Place the Windows boot hard disk in one enclosure.

Step 3: Place another hard drive to be used for Fedora Core in a
second enclosure.

Step 4: Place the disk enclosure with the Fedora Core hard drive in
the disk drawer.

Step 5: Install Fedora Core from a cd or dvd.

After these steps are completed, place the disk ecloscure for
whichever operating system you wish to use in the drawer (with the
power off, obviously) and boot up.

I have been using this method for a short time and have experienced no problems.

Has anyone else tried this and noticed any ill effects?
