Yep. Windows AD is much more than Kerberos V: It's a custom Kerberos V
KDC plus a custom LDAP server, both sporting multi-master replication,
and a very specific custom schema, plus a new SSPI-compatible
authentication engine based on Kerberos V, and some more stuff.
