Question: will there be any sort of conflicts if I install xine from
either of those directories? Given that all the advice I read kept
warning against mixing certain things from dag/freshrpms vs. the
livna/etc. (Also, the totem program came with FC3 by default, but no
xine with it... assume I can install just xine by itself and the totem
preinstalled already will work with it?)

Final question (not related to the above, but as long as I'm asking...):
how do I install custom folder icons I downloaded to use? I unzipped the
ZIP file they were in, but that's as far as I've gotten (scouring
Google didn't help).

Thanks!
