evolution and broken mime?

Hi.

I've been a heavy evolution user ever since I gave up mutt, and it's done
its job very well - up to now.

Suddenly, I'm having serious mime troubles in evo.

Some mime messages are displayed fine by evolution, but others are just a
mess.  Attached gifs look like gibberish, it displays part of the mime
headers as though it were text - I even had one message that was causing
evo to crash every time I restarted it.  Also, if I "view e-mail source",
evo typically ignores everything after the mime header - so that isn't
much of an interim workaround.

What do I need to do to get my old, sturdy evolution back?

Please help!  :)
