nscd (and NetworkManager) 100% cpu problem

Hi All,

I have recently started having problems when running Network Manager on
FC3. I have been using it without any major problems for a while, but
now when I activate the server, its seems to work, connecting correctly
to the appropriate network. The problem is that it seems to start up
nscd which then goes into a 100 % cpu usage state, and also seems broken
since "su" for example then no longer works.

I'm not really sure where the problem is, but I suspect nscd since I get
a similar problem is I start it by hand, even if Networkmanager is not
running.

Any suggestions ?

I'm running nscd 2.3.4-2.fc3 updated from the fedora repositories. I
have updated things recently (must notably going to kde 3.4) but I
cannot pinpoint any change that caused this...

cheers Chris
