Hi Folks,

Can anyone shed any light on the following? This is what happens
after I put an SD card in my USB SD card reader:

$ dmesg
(trimmed)
usb 2-2.4: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
scsi2 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
usb-storage: device found at 5
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
  Vendor: SanDisk Model: SDDR33USB/SDMMC Rev: 1.09
  Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Attached scsi removable disk sde at scsi2, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
usb-storage: device scan complete
SCSI device sdc: 250881 512-byte hdwr sectors (128 MB)
sdc: Write Protect is off
sdc: Mode Sense: 00 00 00 00
sdc: assuming drive cache: write through
 sdc: sdc1

$ ls /media
cdrecorder  cdrecorder1

$ sudo mkdir /media/card

$ mount /dev/sdc1 /media/card
mount: only root can do that

$ sudo mount /dev/sdc1 /media/card
mount: special device /dev/sdc1 does not exist

$ $ ls -la /dev/sdc*
brw-rw----  1 root disk 8, 32 Apr 13 21:10 /dev/sdc

...if I recall correctly, this used to work. I can't explain what's changed.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
