hi...
i'm trying to write on a system that seems to have been incorrectly
upgraded...
i get a "read-only filesystem" when i try to write/create files on most of
the disk. i can go to the '/boot' area and create a file, but the rest of
the disk gives me the above message...
my /etc/fstab is:
[root at lserver4 var]# cat /etc/fstab
# This file is edited by fstab-sync - see 'man fstab-sync' for details
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1
<< cant's write
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
<<<< i can write..
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom1 auto
pamconsole,ro,exec,noauto,managed 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy1 auto
pamconsole,exec,noauto,managed 0 0
[root at lserver4 var]#

any idea/thoughts on what i can do to get my drive back, short of having to
reinstall the OS? any ideas on what could have been done to get the box in
this state??
i'm running FC3 on the box.
thanks
