updating a init.d script

two issues with that...

1) i have no /etc/my.cnf file... (although i do with other FC3 installs.. so
i could copy one over easily enough)

2) even in looking through one of the other my.cnf files, i don't see
what/how to add to implement my change...

any thoughts/ideas...
