need gui for ftp

Assuming you're using FC3, you should have a 
/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo containing the correct information.

If you want to specify this list of mirrors, you should probably put 
this information in the fedora.repo file mentioned above, which should 
not have "enabled=0" in it.
