OT: Condensing text for postscript printer on RH 7.2?

I vaguely remember sending a CHR(15) for setting the printer to 
condensed mode?

Jeez, this is going back a while though. Worked on all dot matrix es I 
tried it on though.

Basically try throwing an ASCII 15 out of the parallel port. (or was it 
14?) Experiment.
