Did you try searching with google, using text from the message, your 
drive's make/model and maybe with "linux?"

Try that; then offer more info to the list. It's likely to be something 
that occurs with your model and few others; earlier today I turned DMA 
on for one of my drives.

FWIW I never use -X34, partly because I don't see a use for it, partly 
because the one time I did I had to reboot immediately afterwards.
