FC4 test 3 can't compile octave source code

I installed the FC4 test 3 on my notebook. There's no octave package in
FC4, and I try to compile one from source.
The gcc version is 4.0. When make it, I get the following error:

And the same errors occur in octave-2.1.69.

Can anyone give a solution to it?
