Thanks for that, unfourtunatly they don't here.

Doing a dig google.com times out

repeating dig with trace shows that it goes to A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET, gets 
forwarded to A.GTLD-SERVERS.NET, gets forwarded to ns1.google.com but fails 
there. . .
