It can't make a connection between you and it, for some reason.

Does MSN work using something else other than your current system?

On my ISP (Optus) we frequently find that some things don't work for two
common reasons: They have a crap DNS server, and you don't get name
resolution. Their network breaks down, and loses connection between
some things (e.g. the overseas link to wherever MSN messenger's servers
are).
