Just to complete the discussion, in $HOME/.ssh/config you can
default X11 forwarding to on or off and use the -X and -Y
when it is not set in the .ssh/config file.  I believe both
the local ssh command and the sshd server on the other end
have to agree to allow the X11 forwarding.
