Seeing a bunch of fedora-list-bounces at redhat.com in mailq

When I send just one message to this list I see many messages to 
fedora-list-bounces at redhat.com in my servers mailq.  Iny ideas as to 
why?  My mail to dougp is forwarded to two addresses 'douglas at 
intermind.net' and 'phillipd at oem.doe.gov'  at other domains.  The 
problem is that out spam filter (spamassassin) takes up to 20 minutes to 
deliver the mail because of all the additional traffic.  What is causing 
the traffic to fedora-list-bounces at redhat.com?
