ssh changed in recent update?

I did a yum update ( fc4 updates ) this week, and now I 
can't log into the ssh server:

  ssh -vvv linuxbox
OpenSSH_4.2p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7f 22 Mar 2005

the server has /etc/hosts.allow:

sshd sshd1 sshd2 : ALL : ALLOW

I've tried after  iptables -F

Stumped.
