AC'97 0 analog subsections not ready meaning

Depending on your chip, I found this on a manufacturers site on the 
weekend.

In the Volume Control Preferences, select External Amplifier and turn it 
on.  It made a difference on my laptop.  I have not looked at the 
messages to see if there is anything in there.
