New to LAMP

I am very interested in other's opinions on MySQL v. PostgreSQL.
Four years ago I brought up an app on PostgresSQL and have be quite 
satisfied by it.
However it seems that MySQL has much more market share and so is 
presumably just as robust.
By googling for the answer just yields fluff articles.
