Firefox ignores language settings

I do get your point, although initially, I was mistaken about what
Harald meant. 

What I'd suggested is an alternative solution.  If he doesn't need to
visit German sites frequently, he wouldn't need to change any of the
settings that you'd mentioned.  But from the looks of it, oh well, he
might as well do just that.
