X-CDRoast not Roasting

I know this has been posted a few times before but forgive me. I just 
did a fresh install and my archives got wiped..

Anyway, I can't seem to get X-CDRoast to work properly on FC4 Gnome 
2.10 or 2.12 with 2.6-13.1526 Kernel.. It never has worked as far as I 
know. It's a standard ATAPI 56x/12x CD-R/W. The CD ROM is known to be 
working I just can't get it to work on Linux.

I can load X-CDRoast but it just sits there indefinitely searching.

Got any fixes?
