Then you can't depend on the downloaded files to be completely correct.

Try getting the files using BitTorrent, it does a good job.
Did you download the files using a Windows Computer?
Try using another computer...  may be some BAD memory or other
problems Windows is tolerant of.... (This doesn't mean that Windows is
actually working properly either).

We need more information to help you much further.
What method did you use to download the DVD?
If you know, what server or service you downloaded the DVD from?
Can and did you check the memory on the computer you used to do the
downloading?
~  You can boot the DVD and pass the parameters 'memtest86' to the boot
loader to run the built in memory checker with the DVD.
