Can't create new submenu with kmenuedit

Hello list,

I have problems in generating a new menu entry with kmenuedit. When I entry a 
new submenu, and afterwards to this submenu new elements, everything seems to 
work fine. I can see the new submenu, and I can also save the new 
configguration. However, when I leave and start kmenuedit again, my new 
submenu is missing, nothing has changed.

I have installed kde 3.4.2, just updated from 3.0.0, but the error still 
remains
