ipw2200 firmware not loaded

Don't sweat it, the firmware is not "touched", only read. "atime", or
access time, may not be updated.

Sounds like there is not an ipw2200 present. Can you check the output
from /sbin/lspci and see that you have the correct wireless adapter that
you think you have? According to my records, the T42 has an IBM Atheros
wireless chipset, which needs the madwifi driver, not the ipw2100. See

If you really, really have got an ipw2200, perhaps you need to update to
a newer version of the kernel driver. Post here and I'm sure we can help
out.
