installin mplayer on fedora from yum repo

First become root and change to /etc.
Next, remove your yum.conf file and replace it with a new one like so:

rm -f yum.conf
wget http://www.fedorafaq.org/samples/yum.conf

Then install another yum configuration by doing:

rpm -Uvh http://www.fedorafaq.org/yum

This yum configuration is updated pretty often.
