How do I get ^G to beep in my internal speaker ?

Hi !

After installing FC3 I get no beep in internal speaker from Ctrl-G, worked in RH9.

Machine is a Dell Precision 330 with intel82801 sound chip. I can configure
sound with the intel82801 chip but I can't get the Ctrl-G to beep, neither in external
or my preferred builtin speaker.

Any suggestions ?
